ON Farm training

On-farm training for pig production companies

Good results in pig production are created in the barn. That is why I provide practical on-farm training and independent farm advice for pig production companies in the Netherlands and abroad.

During a farm visit, I observe daily practice on site. I assess the animals, the processes and the way employees work. I look at technical results, but also at what the pigs themselves are showing: behaviour, feed and water intake, lying behaviour, uniformity, manure, health and barn comfort.

These pig signals provide valuable information about feed, water, climate, health, hygiene and management. By carefully observing the animals, improvement opportunities often become visible quickly and adjustments can be discussed directly in practice.

Practical advice on the work floor

My approach is hands-on. I do not only provide advice on paper, but directly in the barn, together with the owner, farm manager and employees. We look at what is happening, discuss where improvement is possible and translate this into clear actions.

Where needed, I guide employees in applying a better working method. In this way, advice is directly linked to implementation and employees learn why an adjustment is important.

Where I can support

  • Animal observation and recognising pig signals.
  • Improving technical results and, as a result, financial performance.
  • Work protocols, staff routines and follow-up of improvement points.

On-farm training

On-farm training is suitable for companies that want to improve technical results, train staff or create more structure in daily work routines.

The training is tailored to the farm, the team and the most important areas of attention. The focus is on practical improvement: observing more closely, understanding better and implementing more efficiently.

The core of my approach

I combine practical experience, independent advice and training on the work floor. My goal is that companies not only know what can be improved after my visit, but also how they can apply this in daily practice.

By looking together in the barn at animals, processes and people, advice becomes practical, understandable and directly applicable.
