That is why I provide practical on-farm training and independent farm advice for pig production companies in the Netherlands and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>During a farm visit, I observe daily practice on site. I assess the animals, the processes and the way employees work. I look at technical results, but also at what the pigs themselves are showing: behaviour, feed and water intake, lying behaviour, uniformity, manure, health and barn comfort.<\/p>\n<p>These pig signals provide valuable information about feed, water, climate, health, hygiene and management. I do not only provide advice on paper, but directly in the barn, together with the owner, farm manager and employees. We look at what is happening, discuss where improvement is possible and translate this into clear actions.<\/p>\n<p>Where needed, I guide employees in applying a better working method.
